International Conference on Applied Informatics Imagination, Creativity, Design, Development - ICDD, Sibiu
November, 4 - 6, 2021
The conference is mainly addressed to young researchers from all over the world. The conference gives the participants the opportunity to discuss and present their research on informatics and related fields (like computational algebra, numerical calculus, bioinformatics, etc.). The conference welcomes submissions of original papers on all aspects of informatics and related fields ranging from new concepts and theoretical developments to advanced technologies and innovative applications. Paper acceptance and publication will be judged on the basis of their relevance to the conference topics, clarity of presentation, originality and accuracy of the results and proposed solutions. The presentation has to include also a practical application. The conference will include regular presentations (20 min.), short IT Companies presentations and a round table.

Recunoasterea expresiilor faciale si identificare starii emotionale prin Computer Vision
Se prezinta o aplicatiei dezvoltata pentru recunoasterea automata a expresiilor faciale. Imaginile sunt preluate de la o camera video si procesate în timp real, astfel încât sa fie realizata o clasificare a imaginilor în sapte clase de expresii faciale. Ulterior, rezultatele recunoasterii sunt folosite ca input cu emotii exemplificat pe un joc.

Navigare autonoma pe circuit simulat în Unity cu componente de Machine Learning si Computer Vision
Se prezinta dezvoltarea de elemente pentru asistarea navigarii autonome folosind un circuit simulat 3D cu motorul de joc Unity. Sunt abordate tehnici de procesarea a datelor vizuale pentru pastrarea benzii de mers si recunoasterea semnelor de circulatie.

Aplicatie de management pentru asociatii de fotbal cu suport Leap Motion
Gesturile reprezinta o parte a comunicarii umane si devin din ce in ce mai importante in interactiunea VR (Virtual Reality). Leap Motion reprezinta un senzor care detecteaza pozitia mainii, respectiv a degetelor, dar nu necesita contact sau atingere. Integrarea acestui senzor in cadrul aplicatiei reprezinta un mod diferit de interactiune intre utilizator si aplicatie, care de cele mai multe ori se realizeaza prin intermediul mouse-ului si al tastaturii.

Aplicatie IoT pentru monitorizarea umiditatii solului la plante de interior
Prezentarea unui proiect ce foloseste monitorizarea nivelului de umiditate din solul plantelor cu scopul de a determina o gestiune eficienta a resurselor si un comportament optim de ingrijire. Datele obtinute de la senzorii de umiditate si temperatura sunt colectate intr-o baza de date si ulterior vizualizate si interpretate printr-o aplicatie desktop proprie.

Platforma robotica printabila 3D cu sistem de navigare bazat pe detectia vizuala a obiectelor
Se prezinta o platforma robotica printabila 3D cu un sistem de detectare si interpretare a informatiilor vizuale ce permite stabilirea unui traseu de navigare. Functionalitatea este data de un software distribuit pe trei platforme: Raspberry Pi, Arduino si Desktop. Pentru recunoasterea vizuala sunt folosite strategii de invatare automata.
